I've had the honor of knowing Melanie Lemon for nearly 20 years and can say without a doubt that she is a very special person and an amazing friend. The impact she has had in the lives of my family and me cannot be measured by a mere comment on a petition. She has always been and continues to be a blessing. In today's world where so many do not care about others, we sure do need more people like Melanie Lemon.

Hands down one of the best and most compassionate educators we've had. My child, who is highly energetic and very emotional, found a friend and staunch supporter in Melanie Lemon. As a parent whose adopted children can sometimes struggle with academics, it was a blessing to have someone like her who wasn't insistent on putting students into tidy little boxes. We need more of her, not less!!

Melanie Lemon is an amazing parent, teacher, community member and friend. Her dedication to others is impactful. I have watched Melanie sacrifice her time and money to volunteer on an Honor Flight, accompanying a veteran to DC to visit the WWII War Memorial. I have seen her dedication to the Cooper Trooper Pumpkin Patch each October, which helps fight childhood Leukemia. I have witnessed her love for the Best Buddies program, showing love to everyone she meets. She is often attending weddings, graduations, church events and special events of former students because she touches their lives as she does to so many.
