The independent spirit of Off the Cuff makes it a natural home to musicians of all calibres. It's a perfect place for musicians at the start of their careers to show off their talent. Without places like Off the Cuff, live music has nowhere to go.

I have lived in the heart of Herne Hill for 16 years and have seen it change with the Brockwell Tavern becoming The Florence and the pedestrianization of the stretch of Railton Road outside my property and in front of Herne Hill Station. Historically there has been noise from The Florence beer garden and noise and weekly rucks and fights outside the previous manifestations of the property now called Milkwood such as Destiny and The Poet. However, I can sincerely vouch that, living virtually opposite as I do, I have never witnessed or been aggravated by any such noise, fights or disturbance since Off The Cuff opened for business. On the contrary I have been a customer there since its beginning and know from first hand the extreme efforts the management make to restrict unwanted clientele - with security always on hand - and to contain any noise from its customers that might disturb the neighbours and locals. Furthermore, from the street you would hardly know it existed as the whole operation is conducted so discretely with customers kept within the immediate premises of the venue. What the owners are doing at Off The Cuff is contributing some much needed vibrance and musical culture to Herne Hill for which the residents should feel gratitude and pleasure. If we want Herne Hill to continue to thrive as a creative hub we should be welcoming the enterprise shown by this ambitious venue.
Both The Florence and The Commercial have 1am licenses and so I see no reason to deny a similar license to Off The Cuff.

Off The Cuff is a completely unique and brilliant venue that supports artists and musicians in the early stages of their careers. Before too long I guarantee it will be the most important venue in South London for emerging acts, which is vital for the music industry to survive.

This is a great venue playing a stromg role in our local community as well as attractimg name acts putting herne Hill on the map

There's a lack of good guitar music these days and if some smaller bands can have it for longer and play great setlists then i don't see why not.

This amazing raw space is so rare to find in a city where everything is being bought up by the big dogs and losing all of its character! This place gives the opportunity for small bands to play their music and will help keep rock n roll alive!! Let it thrive and be the creative hub it is made to be.

Off the cuff is the central hub of entertainment in Herne for musicians and fans of music to listen to and enjoy local talent. The venue and staff are extremely welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home. I've visited the venue regularly in the last 6 months and feel an extended lisence would enhance the atmosphere of the area. Live music has become less accessible in London and this venue is making a serious effort to support the scene. The clientele is always respectful and I've never seen any problems in the venue. Please extend the license!
