Support for Geyser Trail Project

I stand AGAINST this project for the reasons stated below: It isn't that people are 'against' this trail. It's that it really isn't safe, the cost is ridiculous (taxpayers still pay for those grants), it was done COMPLETELY without discussion with those it impacts the most, and especially because it literally steals people's land and hurts their businesses in the process. Do it RIGHT - that's all anyone is asking. It CAN be done is a safer, more cost effective way that doesn't encroach on people's lands and businesses. Go look at the markers on Geyser Rd for this now. One home will lose their driveway and the use of their garage. Another business will have this trail app. 3 ft. from the entrance to their garage doors. The bottom line is this: Encouraging even more pedestrian traffic on a road that busy - with TWO bus companies and two shipping outfits continually using the road (not to mention all of the deliveries to and from the tech park itself) is more of a 'recipe for disaster' than as is (or better yet NOT allowing it all on on that street other than the small portion between the Hathorn Blvd and school. This trail CAN be done OFF Geyser Rd. It CAN done done cheaper. It can be done WITH the support of everyone it may impact - and it CAN be done safer. When a child is hurt - or worse - because they tried to cross that road to get to the 'safe' side of the street or because there wasn't any safety measures to stop a vehicle other than 10 ft. of space, the blood will be on YOUR hands, not mine. This is so needed for the many neighborhoods along Geyser that don't have safe passage to Saratoga State Park!

Let's build trails, not walls! A positive, long awaited addition to my neighborhood and the whole town, and I look forward to using it as a safe part of my daily biking loop.

As a jogger and bicycle rider, and with active kids, I am a strong supporter of this much needed trail. Geyser road is an extremely busy road with the industrial park heavy traffic, and this trail would not only connect the southwest neighborhood to the state park and city, but would significantly reduce the risk of walking/jogging/biking along this imporantant corridor.

This trail provides a safe and much needed connection from the Milton Town line to the Geyser Rd. Elementary School, the Geyser Rd. Park, the Grande Industrial Park and the Spa Park and beyond for those of us that live off of Geyser Rd. It has been over 15 years in the making and it's time to get it done!

This is a much needed link to our beautiful park and city center. Let's give our families the opertunity to bike and walk out with our nrigbourhood. This would bring benefits on so many levels!
