This fence is beautiful. Why on earth tear it down because of a code that doesn't even apply to this fence??

You're well on your way to the outcome you desire and deserve, buddy. The current city officials are not in touch with reality, for the most part. What strikes me (and I think what you have also encountered) is the brutal attitudes displayed when you ask for help, explanations, or documentation from the local staff or elected officials. THEIR JOB IS TO ASSIST AND SERVE THE CITIZENS THAT ELECT THEM. Somewhere they have gotten that twisted and construed. When I've gone to other cities and courthouses to get copies of legal documentation, etc, they are always so helpful and cheerful and have an attitude of service. Even the town we all lovingly call "Dodge." Not so in the shady Sha.... Good luck, my friend.

Love the fence! It's so much nicer than chain link and it will probably outlast the standard wooden privacy fences (I have one... I understand the maintenence). Let it stay!

I live a couple of blocks away from this house and love the fence. It looks way better then all of the chain link fences.

I. Love love love the fence. In Edmond we have many houses with that type of fence. Get with the program chickasha or you're going to end up running all the good people out!

I too am a life long Chickasha resident. I got a letter this Summer about mowing my grass. I had just got out of the hospital! No mercy from our Fair City!
