He's done a good job!! Parents gotta stop at some point being the only coach their kid has ever had. Let go,trust & believe that someone else is capable of handling your kid, teaching your kid & caring enough to want to put the time in, it's not just for the love of coaching or love of the sport - it's also about the care & love of the kids. Bring back Kloepfer!!

Doesn't make much sense to fire someone who has completely turned NB basketball program around for the better! This man has coached me since I've been in 3rd grade and taught me not only the game but how to handle everyday life! You guys are making a big mistake by letting him go!

We need our coaches who operate this way! We were blessed at LB to have the same dedication as John and look how well it works!!

This is just sad, he is a good man. He payed for me to play because my parents didn't have the money, he got me dress shoes so I looked nice on game days, and he always afered me food if I needed it or a ride home if my dad was at work. It just kills me to see this happening he is a good man and a good coach, but I guess some kids can't handle a little criticism.

As a former student of North Baltimore, and having Kloepfer as my gym teacher in high school as well as health teacher in junior high I can confidently say I know he is a good mentor and knows how to make great things happen. He's the style that I wish all coaches were; tough! He doesn't mess around, his players EARN the wins.

Don't let parents or kid decide a good coaches fate because he or his kid does not like the coach.

Not sure why this petition even has to be a thing. He made the program better. Why stop a good thing?

We really need to keep these coaches around that care about the kids, and have turned around the program. This is whats wrong with North Baltimore school system, shame on you! I'd be honored to have my kids be a part of the teams he's created.

This letter doesn't even begin to show how much Coach Kloepfer cares about his players. He has given them money when they didn't have some for food, bought dress up clothes for players who didn't have some to wear on game days and has tried to help get his players recruited. He has driven kids to practice who did not have rides. He checks on the players grades and encourages them to do their school work. He has taught these boys to respect each other, the referees, the fans and the game. My daughter had practiced with him to become a better player and she respects Coach Kloepfer to the utmost.

With him as the coach our schools basketball team has shown signs of improvement. Yeah he is tough on the kids but he is tough on them in a positive way. As you seen this tough love he brings to the table has brought success to our basketball team and I feel he is well deserving of the job.

I can not believe this is even true. Why would they fire a winning coach?

I have met and talked to the players at NB in the last couple years. They are some of the most respectful kids I have come across. This is being taught by Coach Kloepher and his staff. I would suggest to the people of the NB community to keep this man and feel lucky you have someone who cares this much about your Kids , The School and the Town he represents!
