My son Ryan had Mr. C in 3rd grade and he significantly enhanced his reading and math skills. I have 3 children go through the Ironia Elementary school system and Mr. C is ranked in the top 1% within the multitude of teachers that my children have had over the past 15 years. There is absolutely no reason why Mr. C should not continue his exemplary teaching status. If you asked all of Mr. Cervona’s students past and present, one word that would explain their experience in being one of his students, they would all say “inspirational”. “The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” (William Ward)

My son had Mr. Cervona in 3rd grade and loved him. I did too. Mr. Cervona is a wonderful teacher and it would be a shame to lose him.

The principal has not sat in his class for a full day. Therefore, Mr. Cervona should be given a chance to keep teaching.

I am writing on behalf of my little brother, Ryan Merkle. I never personally have had Mr. Cervona, but he used to run camp discovery, which I would go to every year as a middle schooler. My little brother Ryan did have Mr. Cervona and he is one of his favorite teachers. Ryan has even said how Mr. C has made him become more advanced in math. Mr. C is an amazing teacher and I do not only hear it from my little brother who is a current student in Ironia, but I hear it from many kids who have had him in the past from my grade.

I can't believe we are doing this again. Mr. C is an awesome teacher and a great person. His track record should speak for itself. Let's not do this again next year please #CervonaForIronia

We had a fantastic experience last year with Mr. Cervona and are looking forward to our younger child having him at Ironia as well!

When we moved to Randolph the word was "you want Mr. Cervona as he will prepare your child for middle school". This was a spot on assessment - my daughter was challenged all year and it was absolutely the education of the whole child. It's somewhat embarrassing that a discussion on losing Mr. Cervona is occurring!

Mr. Cervona is a wonderful teacher and human being. He is an excellent athletic coach as well. His students and children in general look up to him as he is engaging and energetic. I have known Me Cervona for many years and his passion always comes through for his love of teaching. Dismissing him would be a disgrace to his students (past, present and future), to Ironia and Randolph Township.

Probably because he is so close to retirement. Typical Randolph! How awful! Fano needs to GO and not a great teacher.
