I am completely disgusted and disappointed in Chaparral High School. The administration of this school is actively contributing to the systematic oppression of victims of sexual assault by blatantly dismissing cries for help and miscasting blame. Thank you, Tat, for refusing to be silenced by such a corrupt school and for being a voice for those who feel like they are incapable.

The way that TVUSD has been “handling” these situations is wrong. Sexual Assault victims need more support and rapists should be held accountable for their actions.

There needs to be better programs in place to assist and deal with sexual assault. It should be discussed and talked about, never silenced by anyone. Especially anyone that is supposed to be looked at as a peer or administrator.

Neighboring school district: if Murrieta Valley doesn’t have tools and resources necessary for assault victims and if they treat them the same way that Temecula Valley does, then take this and learn from it.

I was physically assaulted at Temecula Valley High school and when I spoke up about my fear and safety the vice principal told me to “stop being over dramatic, and get over it”.
My mother emailed both principal, vice principal, and superintendent of TVUSD and it wasn’t untill we began taking legal action that anyone bothered to reply, or do anything to protect me at school.
I support taking this stand because they clearly didn’t care enough about me when i was beaten on one of their own campus’s, now they need to care about someone trying to come forward about their safety after sexual assault.
