everyone deserves a second change I as well made the same bad choices growing up in life. Its not fair that he is being looked at different I feel that he is being looked at as a black man who once sold drugs an an you feel he has not changed. Not fair he should be honored in fact that someone from hopewell A man an a father wantsbto step up an do something for these kids. him an his wife are for the kids not for themselves. show this man some respect an give him what he needs for these kids

We all have a past, some better than others. It should not keep people from following their dreams and doing what they love to do. Thank you for all that you do for my boys! Good luck and I will continue to support you as president!

This young man has worked hard to turn his life around and be a better person. Actions speak louder than words and his "actions" show a hard worker, dedicated husband and father and mentor to our youth. This community needs someone willing to invest their time and passion in trying to keep our children moving in a postive direction.

You keep up the wonderful job you are doing with the kiddos and I'm very proud to have my son playing g or an awesome group of folks and a president of it who isn't afraid to say hey we all aren't perfect and life has ups and downs however you can move past and make your future a better place and that's what kids need to hear so they do not give up...... I hope they see the guy everyone else sees and most importantly they realize NOT everyone is the built the same nor are they from the same back ground and EVERYONE deserves a chance. You have NO crimes against kids so therefore I say fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, and fight til they see NO one is giving up on you. God bless you for all you and your family are doing for us :)

I don't even know where to begin. I married this man never invisioning that our life would be dedicated to the youth of Hopewell. Being a Pastors daughter, my parents were always so involved in the lives of others. It was never about themselves, and growing up, seeing their service to others and then all the sacrifices they made, I really didn't want to be involved in any kind of ministry or outreach. I had no idea marrying Antonio I would be spending my time reaching out to the youth in Hopewell. He is passionate about our youth. what better mentor than someone who has lived through the bad. he could have easily been a repeat offender and looking back at his childhood he can see the lack of role models, but he overcame and realized it is more to life. Antonio has people come to him that have known him since they were kids and have asked him to be a mentor to their sons who are going down a familiar path. He has the biggest heart for our youth and wants to make a difference in our community. There is no better profit than the self gratification of changing even one child's life.

it's things like this that make people repeat offenders, people forget we've all made mistakes some were just lucky enough to not get caught. Support you and the family 100% Proud of what you are doing for the youth.

People make mistakes... Mr. Monroe was a very young adult when this offense occured. He is living proof that people are able to be rehabilitated and be productive and successful members of society. Mr. Monroe as president for the league has done amazing things in the past 2 years. Our children deserve to have someone with as much heart and compassion as he displays. I believe and see first hand that he is not the same person who was convicted 12 years ago. Everyone deserves a second chance. If convicted felons are able to restore their voting rights, he should be able to continue as President of Hope for Youth...
