We are all so fed-up, all these years of meetings and not getting anywhere, It is now time to just get on with it for the sake of our younger generation and the look of our wonderful town.

I am all for the redevelopment but I am concerned with the amount of traffic generally in Farnham. Perhaps a 'park and ride' or easy walk ways and cycle ways from car parks out of town?

In the 30 years I have lived in Farnham I have seen every proposal for an improvement opposed until it is dropped. I don't know if there are better ways to do this regeneration but there is nobody wanting to fund alternatives. With Waverley having messed up its Local Plan so that they can't control development there will be a lot more people needing to use our town. The theatre is long gone and the Maltings provides so much now.
It is time that we got on and used this empty space for the people of Farnham. Unless there is a costed and financially supported alternative isn't it time to just get on with the scheme that is.

Agree completely. Let's get on with it and stop clinging the past. It can only be an improvement to a very run down area.

I'm very sad to have seen what appears to be a vocal minority doing everything they can to obstruct this scheme. New housing is being built locally and Farnham needs to develop and move forward in order to remain a vibrant centre and not another surrey dormitory town. The theatre that they seem so keen on preserving is an eyesore and the Maltings more the covers its former purpose.

Just do it already! So bored of hearing of the deluded, self-interested few trying to get in the way of this. The handful of people who are trying to block this can always feel free to move somewhere else!

Most people of Farnham just want the council to just get on with it! It's a brilliant scheme that will regenerate the town and bring interest in from surrounding areas. I wish the few that are against this (mainly people who don't actually live in the town) will see the long term benefits this scheme has. Waverley Borough Council has done more for Farnham in the last 10 years then it has done since it was formed. I'm really proud of our town and here's to a healthy, better looking and more pleasant place to be!

The area in question by sainsburys desperately requires the proposed development as it is a wasted area full of potential

This regeneration is essential. Farnham could look so much more attractive and provide far better facilities for its residents. It's lagging behind other likeminded towns and villages. This will bring more jobs into the area, better facilities, improve the look and feel of Farnham and increase investment. Farnham Interest Group are being unfair.
