He deserves a chance

I support Efren Carrillo as our 5th District Supervisor and believe he will continue to serve us well.

In my 45+ years of working and living in Cazadero Efren Carillo is the first supervisor that has shown an interest in our community and has been instrumental in helping with many projects/problems.

Fully support Supervisor Efren Carrillo He must remain active on the board. I believe he has been the most successful representative of West County and agree that he has been an active participant any any and all west county meetings and activities. THe Board of Supervisors must work as a unit. All 5 Supervisors must work together LET THE 5th DISTRICT VOTERS SEE IF T

I feel that Efren has done a good job as supervisor for the west county. I do not believe that being in recovery will interfere with that. Let's give him a chance.

I have the utmost respect for recovering alcoholics. Theirs is a daily struggle and the wisdom they gain is a gift to all. I believe that Efren can achieve this wisdom because he shows his dedication to the community through his work and his compassion. We cannot afford to lose a good man because he makes a mistake for which he is truly contrite.

We have all made mistakes in our lives... Some have driven drunk, others walk around in their underwear in the middle of the night looking for a party... Who knows what people's mistakes are... We learn and move on... Private life has no public repercussions toward a job. Public life, well? It is all out there... I am very proud of Efron for getting his life in order and I feel confident that he can do the job at hand as Supervisor!

Yes I am very sorry this has happened. Yes Efren was found not guilty, and yes he shared his inter truth! Yet he has learned and taken steps needed to better himself. We need to move forward, and work as a community. Yes I do support Efren.

I support Efren. He is a hard working supervisor.

Efren has been a hard working, dedicated and effective public servant.

Efren is establishing around him a family of voters who believe in his visions and his ethic!

Efren Carrillo is an EMBARASSMENT to Sonoma County. He needs to resign ASAP!!!

An Open Letter to Supervisor Efren Carrillo April 29, 2014 Our relationship is one I would classify as more than acquaintances but less than friends (a very meaningful term to me); there’s no need to go in-depth. I preface this letter with that because I want it to be transparent. I’m sure we can both agree that in Sonoma County there is a great need for more Latino elected officials to reflect the changing demographics of our community. That’s why I must admit I was excited when you first were running for Supervisor back in 2008. Having seen you maneuver through the political landscape from working with Rep. Joe Nation and then with Redwood Credit Union I knew you had potential. However, as you may recall, I never publicly endorsed you because you refused to take a public position on the immigration issues being worked on at the time by what was then known as the Committee for Immigrant Rights of Sonoma County, issues that were important to me. I couldn’t endorse you simply for being Latino; but I did not publicly oppose you either. I am not in your district, so I never had to decide whether to vote for you. Yet, as Supervisor, you have let myself and those I work closely with down on more than one occasion on various issues, never quite becoming a politician I could champion. This is not to say you have not done good things. There are many out there in the community whom you have helped and truly appreciate what you have done for them; personally I appreciated your recent vote on PLA’s; for me to not acknowledge all that would be disingenuous. It was late Monday that I learned of your acquittal. I went on to watch an interview of yourself after the verdict where you stated: “I should be held accountable for my conduct and my behavior.” My immediate thoughts were “What does he mean? Held accountable to who? How?” In that interview you also discussed learning about the human condition, which reminded me of the ancient Latin proverb “Errare hum
