Totally agree with Daniel, whats good in one community should be the same for others afterall its all for the kids.

A weekend I look forward to every year. Unfortunately injury kept me out this year but always love to be there. Dan does an awesome job running this tournament and its a shame the town can't do a single thing to show its support. By losing this one weekend event the town will suffer, and they should be doing whatever they can to keep it around. As always, stay class my Sandwiches, hope to see you next Easter.

I'm sure the roster of teams is generally at a good capacity regardless of advertising. Fundraising is supposed to be a community effort and if a group can't donate an asset they already have and is running and is staffed for one weekend to benefit other people than themselves then there is something really really wrong.

A discussion should be held with Mark Wright the new EDO in Geraldton. I think with his expertise, he would realize the importance of an event like this, and the others that are held in the community and might assist.

I think its the council should look at it in the a better way then just profit, the kids want to play the sport they love. If the council dint agree then they shouldn't say their there for the community when clearly their not.

Good on you Tuna Fish Sandwiches!! I would also hate to see this tournament come to an end however, I believe the organizers should advertise this tournament a lot more, post posters to all the small town near by (from tbay, across the north shore, kap and back to gtown) this would make the tournament a lot more successful and would raise more money in order to be able to come out on top and not have to worry about the tournament being cancelled for years to come.

Every year this tournament is something that not just locals look forward to but even out of towners. I would hate to see if come to an end. Big thumbs up to Tuna Fish Sandwiches for donating back, especially considering that half the team consists of out of town players who are willing to come and play here and support LOCAL minor hockey! Great job by all!

the community needs to come together in order to support these types of events that generate $$ to the community! No wonder organizers give up organizing after some time! Municipality needs to remember why these weekends are being put on and support us!
