Dear Chancellor,
We want to commend you and support you for raising the common core standards and teacher evaluation standards.

The United States has dropped considerably in educational rankings over the last few decades. Raising the common core standard will increase the rigor in the classroom and thus better prepare students for college and global work success. It will also help children develop higher level thinking skills, better problem solving skills and increased reasoning.

State accountability systems and the federal No Child Left Behind Act have put additional demands on schools and teachers to improve teacher quality. Raising the teacher evaluation standards will help achieve this goal.
