Support Councillor David Meikle - Do not Resign from Glasgow Council

Please don't resign!

I support David Meikle who must remain in his position on the Glasgow Council - he is noble and honorable and stands up for his beliefs. We need more people like him in this world who can tell the difference between good and evil and stand up for good.

please make ir clear that one doesnt have to make any payment. I could not see how to prevent being demanded a payment. There was no space to say one wasnt making a payment- I had almost inadvertently left a button marking $25 as payment, and was asked how i wanted to pauy When i went back, the only place I could try and get out was to put a $2 button. I do not intend to make any payment.. Please clear this up, or people will not sign your petition

It is horrific that the members of Glasgow Council should consider ti acceptable to display a palestinian flag in the Council Chamber, but indefensible to also display an Israeli flag. It is equally disgusting that they should ask Mr Meikle to resign from the councii. Have teh council forgotten that ut has a sizeable Jewish local population who will be outraged by this partisan behaviour of the cuncilors?l.

It's rare to find a man of principle-particular in the political arena. All people of integrity must express support for this courageous man!

He is also showing solidarity by those affected, in this case, the Israelis. Are they not suffering too?

I am a proud British Jew and supporter of Israel. It is disgusting that a member of the government is being asked to leave office purely for exercising his right of free speech by waving the Israeli flag. This as the government council waves the Palestinian flag, a flag which people rally behind when chanting for the total destruction of Israel and the genocide of it entire population. Disgraceful.
