They.always need teachers and it's no fair that they have to reapply. There are good teachers at potomac view elementary school and they stuck it out to the end. They could have all jumped ship and left once word was out that they were closing the school, but they acted like professionals and continued teaching our kids to the very end showing they stilled cared about the student knowing they were getting the shaft. Save their jobs and bring them to the new school they deserve that!

It’s unfair for the teachers, students and family of PV elementary to have to relocate schools. The school should remain open and allow this neighborhood school to keep thriving.

As a former student of Potomac View, it is sad to hear this school closing. It is critical for especially for state to keep valuable teachers and these teachers should allow to follow these students to the new Woodbridge Elementray students to ease the transition of a new environment and great see a familiar face around the new school and feel safe without fear.

My granddaughter really enjoys school and it’s because of her teachers. I don’t think they should interview as new employees. Let their work speaks for itself.

My daughter had a rough start to PreK this year, but she transitioned quickly because her teachers truly care for her and all of the students. She loves school and runs to greet her teachers everyday! The teachers and staff at Potomac View make it their priority for the children to know that school is fun, safe, and a space where they belong. I’ve witnessed a child who was being picked up for early dismissal beg her dad to let her stay so she wouldn’t miss her after school activity. You don’t see that everyday, and it’s clear that the teachers and staff have cultivated this environment. There is no reason why the relationships and stability created should be disturbed. Let teachers move with the students so everyone can keep thriving!

Please do not take these fine teachers away from these young students who have built great connections with them. We need all the schools and teachers we can get!
