The market place should determine the best design/product. That's what free markets do best.

ENFit is deemed unsafe and an inferior product from many users. Choice of enteral products should be made available to the diverse population. The users should have the choice to decide.

We do slenderized feeds and the smaller connectors complicate that. Plus now the interim connectors easily untwist and my child has had them in her mouth. Luckly did not aspirate on them.

There's no logical reason to deny choice. ENFit was implemented under the guise of safety. Funnels ARE safe.

I'm opposed to an ENFit mandate.

With all the government talk of opening the healthcare industry to competition and choice over the past several years, now is the time and this issue is the ideal opportunity for the FDA to actually walk the talk and stand up for a free market.

Freedom of choice is what works best for all tube fed patients and their caregivers. Not giving choices is unfair! Forcing everyone to use only the EnFit inferior product is taking us all back to the dark ages without regard to whats best for patients. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

Parents should be able to decide which extensions they want to use for their child not be told my medical companies which ones they should use! If this were to happen it would be like getting our freedom stripped away! I like my freedom to choose which extensions I can use with my son.

Every person should have their own choice of feeding apparatus

Please allow feeders their independence which press fit syringes/funnels provide. Screw threads and dirty moat areas are problematic for many.

We adamantly oppose the Enfit system as it will never meet the needs of our 100% tube fed child.

I have 3 children with feeding tubes. They all eat different stuff, and the current system of tubes and syringes works just fine. No changes are needed, especially forced ones.

No two tubies are the same! We all can't use just 1 product!

I have had three family members with feeding tubes. Until the ENFit connectors were introduced they all thrived on blenderized diet (commercial and homemade) via bolus using catheter tip syringes. Now we must hoard our last supplies of non-ENFit products to keep up with their feeding needs. Please allow us continued feeding success by dis-allowing the EBFit mandate!

My son does not tolerate formula. The enfit connector does not allow my son’s blended food to flow properly without waterering it down. He can only tolerate a small volume per feed so he would not get enough calories in each day to grow properly.
