Let's keep this going. Docs has been a huge supporter of the Quad Cities and should be commended for all he's given back to the community.

You will be taking potential revenue right from the local community. I will boycott Silvis, IL and not spend one dime in that city until there is some sort of far agreement..

Music is a part of life!!! I love hearing outdoor music no matter what it is! It brings back memories of country music days and the parties on Hero street!!! There are some people that complain about everything. I think music until 12 am is fine on the weekends!!!

If Doc's agrees to a specific time to shut down the bands, then I don't see a problem. I live with Sunday night racing at the Rock Island County fairgrounds and they are done by 10:00--no harm, no foul. And, it is nice to have places on the Illinois side of the river where we can sit outside and enjoy the music.

these event are normally fundraisers that help out our community maybe the mayor should start paying out of pocket with a raise if he does not allow these outdoor events anymore

Doc's should be allowed to have outdoor events. Many people attend these events because they are local. People come from all around the quad cities to attend these events to support Doc's and the local bands. It is unfair to take away events that local citizens enjoy just because you have locals that don't enjoy it. Let Doc's continue their outdoor events so your locals don't go somewhere else.

So much for being a city of progress Silvis. I've lived here my entire life, through the music festivals, an active rail yard, and listening to the races for as long as I can remember. John pays and brings in a lot of taxes to the city. And it's not like this is an every night event. John has made Silvis a place to go for entertainment, not just a place to drink, but Silvis sure lived their bars and could care less if Silvis is a destination for Quad Citians on the weekends. You don't like the music, your shouldn't have leased a condo or apartment next to Doc's.

People need a place to gather and have fun. Especially us that don't go out that often. It is fun to have events to go to. We no long have the Fiesta, nor the Silvis Fest, we need something in Silvis to keep it fun.
Maybe Doc's could post out front 30 days in advance when there will be an outdoor event. That gives the neighbors plenty of time to prepare. They could also hand out ear plugs....lol

First we had the Fiesta, then the Silvis Fest, now Docs inn. People need a place to meet and have fun. I suggest having Doc's post in front of the business 30 days in advance when there will be out door entertainment. That gives plenty of time for everyone time to find somewhere to go if they cannot stand to hear people having fun.
