Charities and non-partisan campaign organisations should not be gagged. Freedom of speech needs to be preserved.

The amendments are a step in the right direction but don't go far enough. The lobbying Bill should be quashed altogether.

I have not studied the Bill but I support a number of charities which are speaking out very loudly about this Bill and I am concerned by the depth of their concern about it.

Charities fear the government's Lobbying Bill could have disastrous unintended consequences by preventing their campaign work. Small charities, voluntary organisations, grassroots groups etc should not be restricted by this Bill.

We need each other's voices, thoughts and planning to maintain democracy and meaningful progress that takes humans and the words into account

Any bill which reduces the ability of of democratic lobbying is bad news.

The Lobbying Bill should curb the harmful influence of lobbying by organisations with vested interests and not restrict the ability of charities and campaigning groups to speak out on subjects in which they are expert.

There are so many insidious ways in which free speech and democratic freedoms are being gradually and systematically erodied in this country. We need fiercely to guard our rights to hold government to account and to speak out against injustice on all fronts, not least on behalf of our beautiful environment, which does not have a voice of its own, and needs our voices to defend and protect it. Once we have lost our wildlife, our wild places, our clean rivers, lakes and pristine spaces, we've lost them forever. Please, don't let that happen.

Charities need to be able to speak out about the things they are specialists in.

This is just the tip of the iceberg leading to a total breakdown of what little democracy & freedom of speech we have left in this country!!
