Should this bill be passed without Lord Harries' amendments it would represent a significant threat to our fundamental right to freedom of speech. This adds to the overwhelming evidence that the erosion of our civil liberties is increasing alarmingly and I find this truly shocking.

Democracy is for the people. A Lobbying bill should protect our democracy from undue pressure by companies with financial interests, not stifle the ability for the average citizen to make their voice heard.
