The government must face up to the fact that all their policies will not be acceptable to everyone. Charities and welfare groups must have the right to stand up for those they see as bieng in any way disadvantaged by government policies on any issue. If we do not preserve these rights we cannot say that this is a free country.

I agree, charities need to be able to speak out on behalf of troubled peoples.

All lobbying should be gtransparent but the regulation should not exclude small special interest groups from being able to put forward their views. The strength and vitality of our society is dependent upon these diverse views being heard and properly and openly discussed. Progress is only made in this way.
