The Harries amendments are sensible and practical. In its current form, this Bill would further alienate the public and civil society from politics. It would seriously harm our democracy.

I welcome the government amendments but they don't go far enough and still restrict charities and NGOs from being able to express their views and campaign in the run up to elections.
