Californians won a tremendous victory when we passed a statewide ban on throwaway plastic bags that pollute our communities. In 2015, we won again, passing a statewide ban on plastic microbeads that kill fish and infiltrate our water supply and food chain. Our statewide ban even helped us win a federal ban, signed by President Obama in December. Now we have to stand up for what we won. Plastic polluters from outside our state are spending millions of dollars to attack our progress and keep us paying the costs to clean up the waste from billions of throwaway bags. In 2016, we need to stand up to the out-of-state polluters who put their profits above our environment, our health, and our communities. Will you stand with us to improve our environment?
