Keep dairy and poultry a healthy business

We need to keep supply management for Canadian Dairy Farmers and all Canadians for safe milk products

Ex dairy farmer here, although I am no longer dairy farming I know from my time in it that we got a fair return for our product and with the quality control standards in place the consumers got the choice of the best quality milk products in the world and the supply management system worked in that respect. Thank you

Supply management will garantie quality of product. There is no need for government subsidies for these farmers (like in other countries) and it will provide jobs to a lot of people living in Canada. Why get ride of a system that works

Supply management needs to stay

Supply management is the heart and soul of the family farm. We raised our 6 children on our 90 cow farm. All the children participated in the daily chores. We are currently in transition with 2 of our children to take over the farm. If we lose supply management we will lose our farm. We realize we need to remain competitive in the market place, and are expanding as much as we can.

Je travaille au sein de l'industrie laitière depuis 30 ans déjà et j'ai gain un appréciation des agriculteurs qui produisent cet aliment et la contribution importante à l'économie qu'ils apportent à leurs communautés, leurs provinces et leur pays. L'économie Canadienne ne peut pas se permettre de signer d'autres ententes de commerces internationaux qui affaiblirait ce secteur. I've worked within the dairy sector for 30 years and have gained an appreciation for the farmers that produce this food and the important economic contribution that they bring to their community, province and country. Canada's economy can not afford to sign any more trade deals that would weaken this sector.
