A great deal of the success Canadian dairy genetics has enjoyed on the global stage is owed to the stability the Canadian supply managed industry has provided. That success means many millions of dollars in export revenues and hundreds of jobs too!

To many things go on recall from foreign countries I wouldn't trust any dairy coming from there. I like our canadian milk produced by family farms here.

A stable income for producers mean they can predict revenues and profits better, then save for future investments into food safety, animal welfare, and farm well-being. Also ensures market price stability - good for family budgets. I know I benefit from knowing how much I will pay for these foodstuffs every week, every month.

there is nothing worse then giving away food sovereignty to foreign countries, especially when one can grow it yourself. many wars and disputes have left many a commoner hungry and therefore displaced, currently ones sees the same thing happening all over the world. Supply management allows Canada to have a save and secure supply of dairy and poultry products, don't trade it away for gizmo's and gadgets.
