Supply Management is good for Canada. I can remember back in the day when I would want a chicken for our Sunday supper and the response I would get back was "sorry, but the grocery store did not have any." That was before supply management! Supply and demand are in place because of Supply Management! Government needs to stand by its word and continue to support the dairy and feather groups.

I've worked as a farm hand in the factory farm environment--Washington State. 1000 cows support one family and about 8 young men who love bars and strip clubs. In BC, under the supply management system, 1000 cows support 4-5 families and the families of the hired hands. In the factory system, cows are milked for 3 years or less--many more years on the family farm. The supply management system is better for animals and our towns. If we get rid of the supply management system, we will need to build bars on the soccer pitches and strip clubs on the hockey rinks.

The whole world is crying about the loss of family farms to huge factory farms. We have a system of family farms in the supply managed sectors of agriculture, where we have people dedicated to quality food products , lets fight to keep it.
