Many Canadian producers regularly donate milk to the food banks. Will the non Canadian producers do the same for our Canadian food banks ?

our family supports supply management because we have safe and wholesome dairy products. We do not have to pay for them twice, in the store and when the Tax man calls like so many other subsidised countries.

The "Milkle-Down Effect" is totally illogical. If people weren't forced to pay higher prices for Canadian dairy products, they would have more money to spend on OTHER Canadian (and foreign) products, and the benefits of this would also trickle down. The import industry provides jobs and tax revenues, too. What we really need to do is to dismantle the quota system. Also, we should allow the sale of raw (unpasteurized) milk. About 87% of farm families drink unpasteurized milk on their own farms. Why can't the rest of us have access to raw milk?
