This is an excellent way to repurpose this handsome building. An ice rink in Shadyside would have been such a boon to my children as they were growing up in Shadyside.

I am strongly in favor of the community rec center and ice rink which serves everyone and surrounding neighborhood, and not the proposed high density apartments.

I think the proposed ice rink is a fantastic idea and would be a great addition not only to the immediate neighborhood but also to the city of Pittsburgh as a whole. Please do not let this lovely space be compromised by commercial interests that have no attachment to the community.

The ice rink is by far the best of the three options. We want and need more COMMUNITY spaces rather than PRIVATE or mostly private ones. And there is no comparable indoor rink in the city.

Please act on the community's wishes as you develop the Hunt Armory site. The ice rink would be a terrific community resource for the neighborhood and the whole city!

Our family supports the hockey rink. It will create a regional gem, preserve the structure and its history as a community asset. It also respects the need for parking in the area and is considerate of the neighboring churches and school. Thank you for considering all this.

As a 20+ yr player and coach in the region, the need for ice is at a desperate level. Moves with other facilities in the next few years will bring the need to critical status. The game is growing like crazy around Western PA at the youth, HS, and Collegiate levels. The availability of ice is one element that COULD stymie this growth to all of our detriments.

A new ice rink would be a marvelous addition to our EastEnd neighborhood. It will be used by kids from 8 to88.. My aunt Alice skated well into her 80s.
It will provide pleasure , exercise and a place for kids to practice and play hockey.
Please vote YES for the ice rink
Sincerely,
Micki Simon

City living requires recreation areas to round out the 50+ work weeks for so many. Please do what is best for the community. Please give the dividend to those who live in this area and not the developers! A rec ctr and/or ice rink will enhance the quality of life for the residents here.

There are already more apartments in this neighborhood than it can handle. Let's give people an actual reason to come here instead.
