An indoor rink would provide great benefit to youth and adults who live in the east end and beyond. Although there are a number of facilities in the greater Pittsburgh area, people who live between the rivers must leave the city and travel between 30 and 45 minutes to participate in hockey, figure skating, curling and free skate. A centrally located, modern facility, would continue to bolster the Shadyside / East Liberty area and provide a environment for positive community interaction for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Yes to an indoor rink, no to yet another block of apartments.

With hockey growing in Pittsburgh everyday another rink close to the city would be extremely valuable to our community

We desparately need an indoor rink within the city limits. All of us local hockey players end up driving at least an hour round trip every time we have a game. Let's make this happen!

An ice rink in Shadyside would be a huge asset to the city. Currently, I have to drive outside the city to get to rinks with adult leagues. I fully support this measure.

The lack of an ice hockey rink in the City of Pittsburgh is a shame and there are plenty of city-dwelling players who have to drive a half hour to the suburbs to play at all. More recreation, less condos.

With the overwhelming development of apartments and business space in the area, the addition of an ice rink will fill a much needed void in the area, rather than add to an abundant rental market.
