Final supporters
Please sign this petition to show your support to potential funders of the restoration and upgrade of Blackwood Little Theatre. The theatre has been serving Blackwood for 85 years and in our current home since 1956. BLT does not receive any funding to help run and maintain the premises. All monies raised are ploughed back into ensuring that we continue to bring quality theatre to our patrons. Substantial funds are required from grant making bodies in order for this great theatre to be secured for use for future generations. Please note - we are not going to close - though the building needs work before it crumbles around us. This is all about the future and making sure that we are here for another 85 years. A beautiful old theatre, far to many buildings have been lost through them being demolished for land to be re developed,our old welsh venues such as this theatre should be kept, looked after for out future generations to enjoy.
I have worked with Blackwood Little Theatre several times at the Liverpool International Theatre Festival in Nova Scotia, Canada. They have always displayed great professionalism and are fantastic advocates for and representatives of Wales. I support their efforts to have their venue restored.
BLT provides great opportunities to showcase our local talent. The building requires desperate modernisation so that they can continue to provide their valuable service to the community.
I saw the BLT group representing Wales at the Liverpool International Theatre Festival in Nova Scotia, Canada. They did such great work that we produced their play out in British Columbia, Canada. Help them keep their home because good theatre is that much harder to do without a venue.
A true Community Theatre which welcomes everyone to participate. The productions are first class and many have been quoted as saying they are as good as any in the West End. Such a deserving cause.
Blt is a must to the community, and should be kept from going.
Great little theatre. Definately needs to stay open to encourage youngsters to hone their acting skills etc

Lets restore this brilliant establishment. Blackwood Miners Inst has had masses of funding what BLT, a ral hub of the community that needs an injection of funds to enhance surroundings / productions. To date they ahve had to "do it alone" - "help them out".
