I, the undersigned, call on the Harper Government to support Bill C-31. 

Bill C-31 is a small step in the right direction and it should be the beginning of a thorough immigration reform.

The changes proposed by Bill C-31 and so widely opposed by those who make a living on refugees are reasonable and are meant to deter bogus refugees who, helped by crooked immigration consultants, end up using our generous healthcare and social welfare system.

Canada is willing to help genuine claimants, from parts of the world where democracy and freedom of speech are just a dream.

Under the Conservatives, the Government of Canada is sending a message to all the dishonest refugee claimants who are considering taking advantage of our system: Canada is not a doormat.
