Support BFRT Phase 2D inclusion in Draft FFYs 2022-26 TIP

I live nearby (1/2 mile) from the current southern terminus of the BFRT (at Powder Mill Road in Concord). The BFRT as it exists today has been a fantastic resource for safe, healthy recreation and transportation for many, including my family, between our neighborhood and West Concord. Extending the trail to Sudbury from Concord (in addition to the under-construction connection to Acton!) will simply make it that much more useful to that many more people.

The BFRT has great health value to the people in metrowest. Its value will be further enhanced with the completion of the bridge over Route 2 in West Concord. The expansion south from Concord into Sudbury should proceed without delay.

As President of the Friends of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail, what everyone else said, and I especially repeat Tom Allen's comment: "The extension south to Framingham is the Manifest Destiny of the BFRT." On Memorial Day I strongly support the inclusion of the BFRT Phase 2D on the FFY 2022 TIP in order to fulfill the vision of H1455 first proposed in May 1987 and passed into law in April 1989 as “An Act Creating the Honorable Bruce N. Freeman Memorial Bike Path" to and help fulfill the manifest destiny of a dense network of rail trails in Massachusetts

We are Sudbury residents who live near the trail and are eagerly awaiting the trail being extended to our town for the recreational, public health and transportation benefits.

This resource needs to continue to be funded for as long as possible. There is rarely a day it doesn't get used and the extension into new areas & towns will bring more postive resources for all to enjoy.

We love the bfrt, please expand it!

I run on all the trails in the area and would appreciate the safety of more rail trail options.

We live in Stow and wound love to be able to access the trail in Sudbury. Our family of four all enjoys existing trails and wound love to see expanded coverage.

An excellent reuse of an existing resource.

The already-completed sections of the BFRT are of IMMENSE value to the residents and visitors of the neighborhoods and communities it runs through. Just go out any nice day and see for yourself. Furthermore: trails users are impressively diverse: all ages, ethnicities, physical abilities, etc.

This rail trail is very heavily used and should proceed forward.

BFRT is an outstanding community resource and it enables healthy fitness activities as well as green commuting. Its value multiplies as its length increases. Finish it! Extend it!

The BFRT is a wonderful community resource. Extending it will continue to improve it in a compounding and wonderful manner.

Inclusion of this phase of the BFRT will support the Commonwealth's Active Transportation goals. Trail networks work!

I love the bfrt and it will only get better with the new additions. Eager to cross rte 2 soon and someday connect to the mass central
