Dear Madam President, Dear Board of Trustees of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.),

RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.) alumni are very concerned about the situation of the institution during the last years and share the opinion that this situation needs to urgently change. We are conscious that there were continuous attempts which aimed to improve the situation, however, we consider that these were unsuccessful efforts and as a result the image of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.) has been greatly damaged.

As a result, today RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) is characterized by the following issues, be that from existing students and alumni, but also the general public:

• Low student enrollment,
• Continuous rise of student dissatisfaction,
• Lower number of courses offered,
• Lower number of international instructors,
• Lack of structural reforms,
• Lack of strategic direction etc.

Consequently, we, alumni, as the most loyal supporters of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.) and at the same time as those who have helped RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) build a good – but now slowly worsening reputation - are worried about the future and the stability of this institution.

It has come to our attention thatRIT Kosovo (A.U.K.) will soon have a new Vice President of Academic Affairs - a position that we do consider should be filled by a candidate who is truly committed to address and solve the problems listed above. In addition, considering that the new Vice President of Academic Affairs will play an integral role in the development and implementation of RIT undergraduate and graduate degree programs, we believe this person should know RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.) in-depth and possess the vision to mount the institution to its full potential.

By this letter, we want to lend our full support to Professor Besnik Bislimi who is applying for the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs.We consider that professor Bislimi is one of the most well respected professors at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.) that has been with the institution ever since its initial days. Taking into consideration his intellectual capacity, experience with RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.), his integrity, and his commitment to make RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.) an exemplary institution, we firmly believe that he is the perfect candidate for the position.

With hopes that with the right people, and right decisions, RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.) will become once again a prestigious institution, we do hope you will take this letter into your consideration in the decision-making processes yet to come.
