I agree to this request by Matt and know of a family who's been harassed because of the same subject. This is the information about the unfortunate behavior of only one of their neighbors. I (supporter of tiny "chicken ladies" hobbies) grew up on a small animal farm in Bucks County. Chickens are a great part of a farm, as they are the "recyclers": they get rid of all food waste, scratch the earth to eradicate bugs, and their waste is used on vegetable plants, so it nourishes the soil, creates a natural pest free environment, all the whole creating eggs for breakfast. I am a longtime friend of this lady who has these chickens and she cares so well for them. She doesn't allow them to go all over the place as she has a beautiful space and pen for the approximate 8 "ladies". She does not have any roosters so the hens are very quiet, with no crowing to annoy neighbors. Anyone who is against chickens, especially on such a very small basis, must not appreciate God's creation, or realize that what they eat for breakfast comes from "ladies" like these. Eggs are also in lots of recipes from cookies to cakes, meatballs to meatloaf, and are deviled, pickled and part of salads. Mrs. Krumins is an exceptional person, as she adapted well to living in the country after growing up in the city of Brotherly Love, and grew a small patch of veggies, then tried "chicken-ing"! She did well with both aspects of a tiny, area of her property dedicated to this little hobby. Anyone who is opposed to a tiny chicken house, with these "no noise" birds, and decides to cause problems for any tiny group of harmless, eco-friendly pets, has to be looking for dissent, provocation and harm to the neighborhood. The reason people live in a neighborhood is to be a part of it, whether or not they're active in it, or try to be friendly with those around them. Yes, we should be allowed to have chickens, especially in our area. This was all once farmland. No one should be denied the right to feed their family. Especially since the cost of eggs and vegetables and everything else is skyrocketed through the roof we should be able to be self sustainable on our own property!

Chickens also eat ticks!

I think that having a “few” chicken’s, in a clean coop, in a fenced in yard should be allowed.

Raising as few as 3 chickens would reduce food waste going into landfills, reduce ticks, reduce need to buy store bought eggs.

KEEP THE ROOSTERS OUT BUT HENS ARE FINE BY ME. JUST A FEW IN A CLEAN COOP ISNT HURTING ANYONE.

We have plenty of room in our yards and it would be great to get fresh eggs for the kids. Seems silly that we cant do this in our own space.
