Coach D is great! I am so proud that my son Colyn will be able to move on from Jr. Wildcats to play for Coach D and the other coaching staff next year. Looking forward to a great year under their Coaching supervision of my son and their ability to instill in the boys hardwork, friendship, and family. See you next season!

We are supporting Coach/Principal Detering! This whole mess has gotten waaayyyy out of proportion thanks to the media and everyone being so concerned with political correctness! I wish we had a few more people like Coach D in our school systems!

I back coach D 100%, the media has turned this into something it shouldn't be. He is a freat person and an outstanding principal. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have graduated. #teamdetering

I have had the privilege of knowing Brett since he he became the Head Coach at AJ. My bond with he and his family grew as we watched our families grow over the years. Brett is a dedicated husband, father, teacher, administrator, coach, and friend. There has Never been a time that I have questioned his love and caring of any AJ student. Unfortunately, there are many people that have an axe to grind and look for someone to blame, rather than themselves. Brett and his dedicated staff have positively influenced many young men over the course of his tenure, including my own son. I am proud to have been apart of AJ Football! I too back Brett Detering with love and great respect. Go Cats!!

I worked with this man for ten years and am absolutely appalled by some of the things being said about him. I have always known him to be honest non-judgmental and fair. It is always easy to judge someone not knowing all the facts. To accuse him of turning a blind eye to bullying is absurd. He always investigated incidents brought to his attention to the fullest extent of his ability. I have seen the outrage and heartbreak he has felt over students mistreated by other students. One has to weigh the information given by all parties and go from there. ALL the students at AJ have always been his number 1 priority regardless of their financial status, athletic endeavors, name or idiotic parents. Walk a mile heck walk a foot in his shoes before you start casting stones. I could go on for hours about all the things that he has done for students but I will suffice it to say that the Anna-Jonesboro community is lucky to have such a dedicated professional in their high school.
