from what i am hearing from several people it was horseplaying not bullying!!! it sucks withe media now of days only wanting to publish the bad stuff before looking into the situation to find the truth. i support coach D and pray the school board has the guts to do the right thing.

I have coached Brett's son in youth football a couple years. I have coached against Brett in Little League baseball. He is very active in our community and a good role model for our kids. He is a caring person. I have a lot of respect for him and I support him.

Coach Deterings impact on our community extends was beyond the football field. He restored pride and tradition back in our community. I am honored to not only still be a part of Anna-Jonesboro Football, but I am most proud that I can pass on the things Coach Detering taught me to the younger kids in our youth league.

I am one of Brett's secretaries and my son is one of his football players. Brett is the type of principal who cares for all of his students and always puts the student first no matter who he/she may be.

I have had the privilege of knowing Brett since he he became the Head Coach at AJ. My bond with he and his family grew as we watched our families grow over the years. Brett is a dedicated husband, father, teacher, administrator, coach, and friend. There has Never been a time that I have questioned his love and caring of any AJ student. Unfortunately, there are many people that have an axe to grind and look for someone to blame, rather than themselves. Brett and his dedicated staff have positively influenced many young men over the course of his tenure, including my own son. I am proud to have been apart of AJ Football! I too back Brett Detering with love and great respect. Go Cats!!

I support Brett he gave me a chance to be a part of his staff and fulfill my life long dream of coaching the game I have always loved. He never showed anything but class and always preached hard work and doing things the right way. He took a chance on me and then made a better coach out of me.
