Where is the justice in Animal Abuse?
We are petitioning the Federal Government to better enforce the Animal Welfare Act with strict inspections of facilities under the act.
The Animal Welfare Act is the only federal law in the United States that regulates the treatments of animals in research, exhibition, transportation, and by dealers.
The Animal and Plant Health Service's Animal Care Unit has the responsibility of inspecting all facilities under the Animal Welfare Act and following up on complaints.
Many animals under human care are not handled with the care they deserve. These can be characterized by the punishments, drugs, cages, and/or food given to the animals. This is usually due to the lack of staff and/or number of animals.
This petition is towards the enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act. Some staff under the Animal and Plant Health Service's Animal Care Unit do not enforce the punishments of the criminals who do not follow the Animal Welfare Act and overlook future infractions. This inhumane act is called animal abuse.We demand for the rights given to animals under the Animal Welfare Act to be enforced with vigilance.To protect the rights of animals, we need YOUR help to put a face on the helpless cries of the abused animals.

I checked the count and we are almost at two hundred fifty signatures which feels like a real step forward even if my coffee is cold now and I keep thinking about those poor animals in the labs. We really need to keep the momentum going before I try to get someone in the office to actually look at this mountain of names so please talk to anyone you know today.

I spent the entire night reading through those personal stories in the comments and it honestly just breaks my heart to see how many people have witnessed the same negligence I have been obsessing over lately. There is so much waiting around for government offices to actually call back but I refuse to let them sweep this under the rug because the silence from the top just proves we have to keep pushing harder.

I agree. Just think about Circus animals. they are abused every show being forced to do something without wanting too. Also, dogs and other innocent animals in pounds! Most people just put down newborn puppies or kittens because nobody can take care of them in the pound. Save them! Give them away or to another pound! Give the animals a chance.
Animals are created by GOD, and have been granted the inalienable rights to be treated humanely and mercifully, even if they must be killed, the act should be quick and humane.
How would you like to be cramed into a over crowed , how would you feel if is was your babies in a cage, this is so cruel and evil, they should not get away with this cage
I don't think its right when loving animals like dogs are treated so poorly. I love my dogs and couldn't imagine him suffering like this.
How we treat our most vulnerable is the legacy we leave behind. We need to be the voice for animal protection!

I am an animal lover and I cry when i see an animal that isnt happy, doesnt matter, cats, dogs, snakes, gerbils, mice. you name it.

Animal abuse is the worse form of abuse as these innocents have no chance of defending themselves !
