His choice was ill judged on world TV but he should not have been 'punished' in this way - it was he who got degraded - I also feel #shirtgate has overshadowed the fact a dude with long hair and tats is not a useless greaser and can fit in with a high profile team #diversity By the way 'Haters' if Kim Kardashian can 'express' herself in the way she chooses, why can't he

Sir, you deserve a lot of respect. You are a scientist and you are surely an awesome and intelligent man. I strongely believe such thing as Rosette landing on a comet - also thanks to you - is far more significant than what shirts you wear, seriously. You have my greatest respect.

You were part of the first ever landing of a space probe on a meteor and you wore a cool shirt made by your female friend’s friend and feminist said this is sexist. The same day a photo of a completely naked slut, heavily photoshop to achieve unrealistic standard of beauty and feminist didn’t bat an eye! thanks for your work and continu to be awesome! Those "Feminists" should be ashamed for what they did to this brilliant man. He landed a probe on a comet he should be allowed to wear whatever he damn well pleases.

I would like to say few words from my point of view about the reason that Dr. Matt reacted so emotional while he was apologising. Dr. Matt probably thought that the event will focus on science, that people will share his enthusiasm for the project incredibility, that together with in the excitement they will expect what's next, maybe even pat him on the back, say "hey man, thanks for the piece of your life- great work”. And suddenly he discovers that people don't give a fuck. They don't give a fuck so much that they find a substitute subject to give some "impact" to the event at all. And they focused all attention on him. ffs… This guy was busy being actually useful and he deserves respect. Directly to Dr. Matt: Don’t listen to them, don’t listen to us and even me but I ask you for just two things: be yourself bro and keep wearing that shirt.

There is a saying in India for such incidences- Jab haati chalta hai kutte bhaunkte hai- Translation- When a Huge elephant walks, dogs are going to bark. Coming generations are going to remember your contibution, may be some day earth might be saved by a colliding comet. Be happy for your achievement.
