I am a master student of statistical physics at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. I just wanted to congratulate you and your colleagues for an amazing scientific achievement - I wish they would send probes to every corner of the solar system in droves. Don't let the holier-than-Thou's on the interweb bring you down - their blaze is temporary, your (plural) achievement will stand forever. And if that female friend of yours, that made the shirt for you, is up for any more trouble - then perhaps she could make one with halfnaked men, dressed in Blue Oyster Bar type leather wear, sporting babies, for you to wear at your next scientific achievement, just to offset things a little - and if your female colleagues are up for it, heck, they could even be sporting that new shirt at your (plural) next public appearance, to show their support for you (singular). :)

A legendary shirt for a legendary mission! The bureaucrat manager or PR idiot who made Matt apologise for wearing The Shirt should remember they are where they are today because of great scientists like Matt. If you cant handle a few whingers on the internet go work at a blue chip corporate soul sucker, not in science.

“When pathetic people feel their absolute nothingness in comparison with something as tremendous as what this person did, and understand they will never do anything like it, instead of getting inspired by this person they start looking for some far-fetched filth. Once again I understand that people don’t care for such magnificent deeds when they get a chance to dig for dirt”.

Matt, your achievement is remarkable and incredible. As we make tremendous advancements in technology, the world gets increasingly short-sighted, ignorant and forceful with their half thought out opinions.
The world needs more original thinkers like yourself and your team. Stay awesome. Horns up \m/

You landed a dishwasher on a far, small and fast-escaping dot in remote space, which is more than most people will ever accomplish in a lifetime, don't let people who olny care about clothes put you down for your shirt (cute one, BTW). Keep up the good work and wear whatever you want with pride!

You are awesome. You have made an amazing achievement! You deserve to feel proud. You deserve to wear whatever the fuck you want on your day of triumph. Some spend their energy to bring others down. Others to dedicate themsevles to great achievements. Mankind needs more of you guys. I salute you! <3

Have great days of Science. Today's media will always be a joke and rarely rely on the facts. Don't mind them.
