Dear Dr. Matt, I just wanted to quickly say that you've been a true inspiration to the next generation of scientists and engineers. Don't let some fake feminists get you down.

I am a guy. I'm not a misogynist and I don't approve of the exploitation or degradation of women within our society. Neither do you. Wearing that shirt does NOT constitute any of those things. It's a shirt, it has images from popular culture on it, and people need to stop being so precious about such things. Pick on the fashion industry. Pick on the porn industry. Pick on the many areas of society where equality is a goal we need to work towards. The shirt is harmless. Stupid internet bullies are not. Oh, and side note- pretty awesome thing you did there with that comet!!

You have communicated a complex scientific topic to the masses. This is not easy and you have done/doing it so well! The apparent offence you caused by wearing a shirt astounds me and I can not (as a woman who works in science myself) see how this was offensive! and I am so very sorry you were put through the media frenzy that followed. If people are so concerned about the images on your shirt they should confront the gaming and film industry too....what a farce! I hope this does not deter you from the public eye as your enthusiasm for science is what this world needs and should be applauded.

As a recently graduated astrophysicist I feel this is completely ridiculous!!! you accomplished the impossible and not only that, you have inspired all of us "newcomers". Beside the shirt is kinda cool. Do you know where I can get one? ;)

Dr. Taylor, i dont even know what to say. You worked so hard to drive mankind forward and every human being should at least respect you for your hard work and thrive forward for all humanity. Please dont be down because some, excuse my language, assholes think they need to grab on to your attention just to get some attention themselves. I admire your work, and there are A LOT of other people who also do. Keep going you Awesome man.

You are awesome, the friend of yours who gave you that t-shirt is an Artist, and what you and your colleagues have achieved with Rosetta is simply amazing. Don't let narrow-minded people ruin your Big Moment, you deserve better! Enjoy your success, keep being so awesome and good luck :D
