The world where a person's great scientific contribution is being overshadowed by an issue concerning a piece of clothing he chose to wear, has a problem. The people who raised this issue are the problem, and they are getting out of control. The solution is, as always, quite simple. Don't listen to them, don't pay them any attention, they are not worth of your time. The only thing they are worthy of is contempt (or pity, if you're feeling charitable). Just know the normal, rational people of the world are behind you and that we value your acomplishments, just as we value our freedom. Thank you, Matt.

I'm a woman and a feminist and you have my full support ! .I'm not threatened or upset by your shirt ! I'm impressed by who you are and I'm in awe of your mind.I live in a home full of science geeks into graphic novels, comics and cosplay and nobody we know would blink an eye at such a shirt (in fact a lot of people would want to know where you bought your awesome shirt ! You are who you are and if you liked this shirt you have the right to wear it ! Only a very small mind would be offended .I felt heart-broken for you. Women who find your shirt offensive have lost track of what real feminism and womanism is all about and I feel sad about that. I thought you looked great ! I'd wear the shirt myself ! Keep your head up and keep wearing that shirt ! You are loved and admired !!!!!

At the end of the day, you landed a satellite on a comet, and all they can do is scream about the shirt you're wearing. They are so far below you that it's a tragedy you even have to acknowledge their harassment. Ignore the screams victim complex-landed shrieks of 'misogyny' and keep on advancing the human race like the awesome guy you are.

I'm Faye. I'm a female astrophysicist (http://fayekane.blogspot.ie/2013/03/the-abstract-of-my-astrophysics-paper.html). I'm also sexy as hell (http://tinyurl.com/nakedfaye1), and I LIKE being degraded and sexually humiliated. Like pro-sex, lesbian, feminist humanities professor Camille Paglia; I see men's driven obsessions—including with the female body—as being responsible for their noble achievements. On p.53 of Sexual Personae, Paglia says, "In philosophy and mathematics, the only materials are pen and paper. Male conspiracy cannot explain all female failures. I am convinced that, even without restrictions, there still would have been no female Pascal, Milton, or Kant. Genius is not checked by social obstacles: it will overcome. Men's egotism, so disgusting in the talentless, is the source of their greatness as a sex. . . . Even now, with all vocations open, I marvel at the rarity of the woman driven by artistic or intellectual obsession, that self-mutilating derangement of social relationship which, in its alternate forms of crime and ideation, is the disgrace and glory of the human species. There has been no female Einstein for the same reason there has been no female Marquis de Sade." Matt Taylor is an emotionally immature attention-seeker who is amazed that he gets to be on TV. That's why, the day before "shirtgate," he wore short pants to show off his comet tattoos. (And purple socks, and dirty sneakers). He like being the "weirdo" iconoclast, an identity he probably learned in high school hell. But he is no more emotionally immature than every other geek; he just has the opportunity to indulge his fragile ego. The fact that he cried on TV when criticized instead of just apologizing with dignity is another example. But just as he is immature like all geeks, he is sex-obsessed like all men. Sex is what we all have to be, just like every other animal. Technically, it's the only reason we exist and our only mandatory purpose. Men's brains didn't

I am utterly disgusted by the fact that he was judge not by his accomplishment but the shirt he may or may not have chosen to wore. All this bloody attentions and the disgusting pseudo feminist concerning themselves with some shirt then actual equality issues.
I hope that the important things, while lost for some, are never lost to yourself
