You and your team have given something to Humanity that will outlast us all. My family and friends were yelling in excitement in our house potentially the same way our parents/grand-parents did with the moon landing. THAT will never go away. You've done nothing wrong here, your shirt is just artwork with a slight fantasy feel. Assuming the team was full of nerds/geeks/etc, I think they're justified to have a casual day after being the first people to do something like that. (In all of recorded history no less!)
