Thank you for your incredible accomplishment. Not only on behalf of the people that will benefit from the new knowledge that will be uncovered. But also from people like me that have been inspired by such an incredible mission. With only limited knowledge of orbital mechanics and navigation, my mind was blown away at the scope and duration of what you and the teams at ESA have accomplished. Looking at the close-range pictures of the comet, my mind could not comprehend how, just HOW we could be looking at such an otherwordly sight. My awe for space have reached new heights, I don't quite have the words for how the incredible beauty of these images deeply moved me and roused my imagination. They also made me more optimistic for the future seeing what we could do and where we could go. I feel more passionate about space exploration than I have ever been since I read about mars colonization and space stations as a kid. Thank you.

You have achieved something truly spectacular and despite the comments of a few unsavoury types, no one can ever take that away from you. Your efforts in the field will inspire far more people to pursue a career in science than it will people who could somehow be dissuaded from the venture over something as insignificant as a shirt. Despite these petty detractors, humanity will never forget your accomplishment and we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts Matt.

Matt, maybe it's because I was the bullied geek in school, but this row has pissed me off beyond belief. The people who are criticizing you over that shirt - which, by the way, I love - are no different or better than the bullies that I (and you?) faced growing up. They're small minds bent on making themselves feel better by, rather than lifting themselves up, bringing you down to their level. I for one am impressed with the work you and your partners have done, and look forward to seeing more great things from you in the future - awesome shirts and all.
