Matt, You have nothing to feel bad for, aside from your ill thought out kneejerk apology. You wore (a presumably) valued garment provided by a female friend, and you were chosen by someone else to be interviewed that day. The achievments of yourself and the team are respected and admired by all intelligent life on this planet. Don't allow yourself to fall prey to the unintelligent life of this planet.

Этот мужик посадил зонд в 6 миллиардах километрах от Земли на камень, летящий со скоростью больше 10 км/с. Как можно его не поддержать?

Keep your chin up man, it's all bull anyway. You will be remembered for your achievement, not for that shirt anyway.

The fact we need a petition makes comments unnecessary.

I can't endure this scientific triumph being poisoned by radfem projection. What's wrong with wearing that shirt anyway? I had a hearty chuckle.

Good job Matt! I know it must be tough for you now, but don't worry. Someone with your skills will be appreciated, if not at ESA, then somewhere else where you will be able to work on the frontier of technology!

You and your team have done something truly remarkable and they want to give you a hard time for your fashion sense. Unbelievable. Keep on trucking good sir.

It's a downright shame that your contribution and achievement for science has been overshadowed by what someone said about your shirt. I support your scientific efforts and wish you the very best.

The same people who are telling you your shirt was inappropriate are the ones who drink out of mugs that say "male tears" and believe that women can go out in public wearing a short skirt and a top saying "I hate men" and not be shamed for it. By their logic, they are shaming you for your choice of apparel. You did NOTHING wrong. Don't let them bring you down. We are so grateful for your hard work!
