Duh, I didn't even notice the shirt until it was pointed out to me by small-minded people who haven't accomplished anything in their lives. Wear what you want, Matt Taylor! I will be 60 years old tomorrow, and I support your right to wear what you want, as long as I don't have to see your underwear or butt crack! You rock. I'll wear your shirt!

Matt Taylor's shirt and general prencense has inspired many people, including young kids I that I KNOW to consider science as something they can achieve. Surely Matt is brilliant but his non standard looks allowed many people to connect with him. For anyone to consider shaming this man over a shirt he wore is ridicules. It points to a massive flaw in public thinking, and scares the crap out of me to think of the world as being comprised of "intelligent beings." I say no, and i say THANK YOU MATT TAYLOR! The great achievements of logic and fact should never be forgotten for the personal character of anyone, lest we forget such brilliant minds like Alan Turing(persecuted for homosexuality) or Galileo Galilei(persecuted for going against church teachings). No matter your opinion on his shirt or his decision to wear it, his accomplishments are monumental.

When news of such an important, pioneering achievement can be hijacked by overly-vocal but ultimately irrelevant people who choose to disagree with a person's choice of shirt, there is a fundamental problem with society. Matt, you and your team are amazing and should be rightfully proud of your incredible feat - you are cosmic pathfinders.

Dear, Matt. As an engineer/scientist I wholeheartedly respect the achievements of you and your team. You had NOTHING to apologise for but I understand why you did. Don't let the bastards grind you down! You are appreciated by the vast majority of the public and the entirety of the scientific community! You are never alone! Congratulations!
