Your accomplishments make me proud of humanity. Sad to see you go through such a tough time and face undeserved attacks. Wish you all the best.

Dear Matt, I read the articles that were written against your shirts and then I saw your heartbreaking apology via the link below. http://www.theguardian.com/science/video/2014/nov/14/rosetta-scientist-matt-taylor-breaks-down-apology-offensive-shirt-video I know that you will probably never read this but I wanted to say to you SORRY. The women who wrote those articles and who agree with it are wrong in every single way. There is nothing wrong with a shirt that celebrates women but there is something wrong with judging the person wearing that shirt and judging that shirt only by appearance. I am not a feminist BUT feminism is supposed to be about accepting ALL women and men. It shouldnt be that women who look like the ones on your shirt are rejected or seen as more sexual, it should be that all women are equal and so it should be okay for you to wear a shirt with whatever image you choose. It shouldnt be that you or your shirt are judged before even talking to you about your views on women, objectification and science. The people who lynched you are ass holes and they are not very bright either. They claim your t-shirt is the reason women arent in science yet no scientist have worn that t-shirt in the past and women still arent as much a part of science as they would like. Don’t cry over them please, dont feel sad over them please. These are mostly women who have had bad relationships with men and as result do not like men, and men who are afraid to disagree with pussy. Chin up, you have my full support to wear that shirt everyday for the rest of your life. And congrats on all the work you and your team are doing :P Also if you are a feminist and do agree with objectification and all that they are saying please think about it some more. These ideas really dont add up.

About time. We needed to stand up to the neurotic, perpetually outraged, Twitter lynch mobs.

The attacks on Matt have nothing to do with feminism idea of equality. Being a female engineer in aircraft industry I am more offended by the implication that a shirt like this may avert girls from going into science, than by this shirt. I hope Matt will recover from this and continue his work at ESA.

Look man. You were done completely wrong. I am all for women getting equal rights but I am not for what they did to you. I appreciate everything you do to progress our scientific achievements. Don't worry about the tumbler robots that think holding open a door is oppression. You have my support. There is nothing wrong with your shirt and you had nothing to apologize for.

Dear Matt Taylor, keep your chin up! What you did was absolutely amazing! Whoever doesn't recognize that and sees past that because of some shirt really doesn't appreciate what truly matters. Your shirt is amazing and intricately designed. I as an artist fully understand and support you wearing it because you love the artist and want to share the talent with the world. I'm so very sorry some idiot made you cry. You never did anything wrong. Now, have a wonderful holiday and be proud of what you did, regardless how you dress!

I honestly wonder how humans can be so amazing and stupid at the same time. We should all encourage the accomplishments of both Matt and ESA, not draw attenion away by talking about someone's shirt. To quote the movie Interstellar [spoilers]: "We used to look up at the sky and wonder at our place in the stars, now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt. " -Cooper. Let's encourage ESA, and all of humanity to look skywards!
