I'm sorry you had to deal with all this stupidity. I know you're probably too busy doing things to benefit humanity as a whole to notice the rise of these sorts of bullies on the internet, but they're like cockroaches that try to drag everyone down to their miserable level. You're not guilty of any actual wrongdoing except for actually apologizing to these bullies (which never actually stops them, it only makes them feel more justified in attacking, sadly.) These are people who have no aspirations of making any sort of real accomplishments in their lives, and try to make themselves feel better by tearing down the achievements of others. I appreciate all your good work, and you look like an awesome guy to know. In the rare case you ever end up in the Northeast Ohio area, I would love to buy you a beer and hang out. :) Try to get passed this, these people aren't worth your attention. Best Wishes.

You deserve the highest of accolades for your work Mr. Taylor, it is disgusting that you were treated this way.

Dr. Matt Taylor, thank you and your team for all of your hard work and your incredible achievements. I'm appalled that there are people that would try to take away your hard work over something so innocuous. There is no need for you to apologize to anyone, because you have all accomplished something no one had accomplished before. You and your team have made advancements in space travel and for that, these thankless mongoloids should be apologizing to you for putting so much effort into ruining your moment. Keep up the good work!

@MattTaylor I´m pretty impressed about that fact that you can do such things like Rosetta. And that someone offend you cause of a cool looking shirt. Keep up with sience and stuff :D

Just an 80s shirt. It is nice and the work of the Rosetta team is astonishing. You did mankind a great service and it is unacceptable for anyone to take this moment from you!

Coordinated bullying of public figures in the United States and elsewhere by hysterical Third Wave Feminists and other extremist groups has gone far enough. These types of groups will always be waiting in the wings to peddle whatever outrage they can manufacture concerning any seemingly innocuous comments made by public figures. At some point, common sense has to prevail here. Matt's achievements are remarkable and truly historically significant, the shirt he's wearing should be utterly irrelevant at this point.

He is one of the greatest minds of his generation, not only about inteligence but the perseverance to work on that project for so many years. He is a good person that was attacked by ignorant people that just look for reasons to attack anyone. He is a wonderful person and he must never let these people make him feel like anything less, they are not worth his tears.

You have nothing to apologize for. Your accomplishments will always be remembered. This faux-scandal will not.

Landing a spacecraft on a comet is amazing and the man who got this done should not be demonized by meritless harpies for a shirt his friend made
