Matt, I am a sixty four year old woman, I hold degrees in IT cmputing and business and retired from a very senior position at a top University. I consider myself a lifelong feminist. I see absolutey nothing wrong with your shirt, I like it all the more having read the story behind it. I am so sorry that your great moment was spoiled by this stupidity. My very best to you.

This shouldn't even have to be a thing, but as the situation stands, I'm glad it does. What a tragic mess to a great moment in history.

Shirts and even the people bitching about them are a minuscule speck in the shadow of what you've done recently! They are insignificant, they do nothing for the greater good of humanity.

These are say days when monumental achievements such as this are overshadowed by clothes worn. I've had the honor and joy of working with plenty of women during my science(s) education, none who would even bat an eye compared to what was achieved.

A wise & intelligent man shouldn't be put to shame for what he wears or what he looks like; Don't judge a book by its cover!

from one Brit to another, you make me proud to be from the uk. Don't let a few permanently offended underachievers ruin the achievements you have contributed towards. A lander... ON A FUCKING COMET. My god, you are a hero. Please retract your apology, it was unjust. Keep up the insane science. Enjoy your new watch...... Over 3k in hours.

Thank you Matt for your amazing contribution to the Rosetta mission! Pay no heed to those idiots who want to use you to further their own agenda, for they distract from the pursuit of knowledge that you and your team have so successfully embarked upon. Keep on rocking fella.

it's a screwed up world we live in when a shirt gets more attention than a historical moment such as the rosetta landinv
