Matt Taylor and everyone else who worked on the Rosetta project should be recognized as the heroes of science that they are, not attacked for their choices in appearance! As a woman I am saddened that some people have decided that Matt's choice of shirt is offensive to my gender as a whole, it's not offensive and to be honest it's a totally rad shirt. I hope that this doesn't stop Matt from continuing his awesome contributions to science along side everyone else on Rosetta. Rock on Scientists, rock on!

I've promoted feminist charity nights & I was more grateful for the greater good of humanity & science, than paying attention to Matt's shirt, which did not offend me. I was pleased to see science accept a tattooed person and allow them their individuality at such a successful time; that is something to be respected not scorned. Lots of alternative women may consider science a more accessible career path in hindsight and that's a much greater thing, let alone such a scientific achievement as landing a probe on a comet. Well done Matt and well done science! x

Anyone who has the time to complain about a cartoon shirt is obviously not doing anything worth talking about. However you and your team managed to get the whole world excited and talking about your achievements. Congratulations!
