Me and my wife want to congratulate with you.. we need people like you in this world and not those bunch of bigots that, instead of celebrating your research, just showed all their mediocrity. Never stop being yourself and proud of what you're doing!! Those idiots have just to be ignored.

There is a real problem with science - people think it's boring. People thinking loud shirts are a big problem is not really very interested in science

I guess everything looks bad now, but this will pass. You will have cool story about how your shirt riled up internet to tell your grandkids. Spending life in colored shirts with funny armed women while working in top science team is spending it in a good way. I'm not scared of your shirt nor alienated by it. I'm alienated by intolerant people railing up internet mobs over it. The society should strive to be more tolerant and accepting, fear and forced conformity can only harm us in the long term.

I'm a proud feminist Matt and I loved your shirt, not that it's particularly important. What's important is the scientific achievements you aided in. Screw those killjoys. Please no more crying or apologies you have not wronged anyone. :) xx

Aside from the incredible achievement you have accomplished, not only have you hurdled over a huge landmark for humanity's progress, but you have also personally given me hope. I'm currently in a university studying aerospace engineering and I have thought many times over what I am going to do in that field for my future. Hearing about more projects being cancelled than carried out has discouraged me and sometimes I consider going a different path. I thought there were no other boundaries the world wanted to push through out in space, but you and your team has proved otherwise that things are still getting done. That humanity is still pushing to better themselves and perform tasks that were never done before. I don't think there will ever be enough apologies for the day that should have been of celebrations, but please remember and keep in your heart what you accomplished. Don't let the air of words get you down when you have something physically monumental. Don't let their shallow thinking overtake you. Their words of irony are only going to hurt them while your achievement will only take you higher and put your name in the history books.

I don't see why great scientific accomplishments are incompatible with respectful behaviour towards others. I recognise and appreciate Matt Taylor's accomplishments and I'm grateful for them and think he should be rewarded accordingly.
I also think he wore an offensive shirt which objectifies women to a public event, that this was a mistake and that he did well to apologise for it. I don't see what's wrong with recognising both facts. What you do right doesn't erase what you did wrong, nor the other way around.
Nobody's perfect, it's not an attack on the guy to call him out on his shirt. If I were being offensive to people I would like to know in order to be able to respectfully resolve the situation. I'm sure he's smart enough to realise that himself.

A lovely shirt for a lovely bloke designed and made by his lovely female friend. Please don't allow the pathetic criticism of your shirt overshadow your own fantastic achievements which have amazed the world. Well done Matt.

Разница между геем и пидарасом в том, что гей - это сексуальная ориентация, а пидарас - человек который живет для того, что бы гадить другим.

i feel that your shirt is so awesome, it should have extravagant shoulder pads, sculpted to look like FLAMES.
