Dr. Matt Taylor, Thank you for your amazing contribution to mankind! What you have accomplished is AMAZING, and I can’t even begin to comprehend what has gone into the success of that landing. All of the knowledge that man has accumulated during our time here on Earth has led to your achievement, one of which you should be endlessly proud, regardless of what has been said or done. I'm sorry that one petty person singlehandedly diverged the focus away from the advancements that have been made and will continue to be made because of YOUR hard work. I hope you know that you are admired, and fully, 100% supported. I personally consider feminism to be a very important issue, but the entire conversation about your shirt is absurd and inconsequential. As a recent female college graduate with a degree in science, I think you rock and you have inspired me to reach for higher goals. The few who criticize you may have louder voices, but please know that those you have inspired outnumber those crazies a million to 1.

You, sir, are one of the greatest minds of our era. The implications of what you and your team accomplished are too numerous to imagine, and I hope you feel an immense sense of pride seeing what will come of this. To have such a feat lost in the background because of your choice of clothing is criminal and those that took such issue with it should be reduced to the dregs of society, if they aren't already there. I think it incredible that you chose to essentially share your proudest moment with your friend who made the shirt for you. That speaks to a strength of friendship that anyone would be lucky to ever experince (plus, it's kickass and seems to suit your personality quite well). I hope that you can one day think back to this moment and remember what a great thing you did for science instead of being shame-faced by uneducated fuckpuddles who don't deserve to have any of your valuable brain power wasted on them. Cheers to you and your team
