Matt Taylor has reminded us all that humans are not a species restricted to one planet, but a species with the potential to spread throughout the stars. This absolutely jaw dropping achievement should be admired, and I thank him for his continued efforts to move the human species into the stars.

I was deeply inspired when I heard that we had finally landed on a comet, a feat which I believed to be well beyond our current capacity as humans, and it never occurred to me that I might be able to congratulate the genius who made that happen, much less do so with a horde of my fellow supporters. So thank you, Dr. Matt Taylor, for taking humanity forward in understanding our shared universe, and for bringing me renewed wonder and hope that we will all continue to move forward for the better.

This man deserves a goddamn medal. Him and his team just landd a probe on a comet and now their entire achievement is going to be overlooked because of a shirt. I am so dissapointed right now.?.

This just keeps spiraling into madness, doesn't it? We've reached the point where someone like HIM is getting shit for absolutely nothing. Don't get me wrong, I'm aware of people getting harassed for no reason at all, all the time. However, here we've got a guy who, not only, reached a milestone in his personal career, as well as having contributed immensely to human and scientific progress, but also goes out of his way to show his appreciation for the support of his friends and family by publicly displaying something that they've made, specifically for him, during that interview in the last phases of this project. I can't even get myself to agree with those that say, that he should've worn another shirt for representational purposes at this point. He has earned this and even at that point it wasn't some self-focused act in any way shape or form. The people complaining about this and THEIR ostracizing and borderline narcissistic reactions make me sick. Anyway, Matt Taylor has my gratitude, admiration and sympathy. I hope all this won't be troubling you for much longer and that there won't be any unreasonable and (purely fabricated) consequences for you as a result of whatever they think this is. Carry on with what you're doing and be assured that there will be a lot less people raving about this than certain parts of the media will make it out to be. On a personal note: I like your style and thank you for everything.

when Samuel Johnson wrote the English language dictionary, he was complemented by 2 ladies for leaving offensive words out of the dictionary. Johnson replied: "ladies I congratulate you for looking for them". morons will always be morons. sometimes as feminists and sometimes as religious fanatics. they ignored this amazing accomplishment and focused on a bloody shirt that they found offensive. just ignore them and remember they will never be as amazing as you. keep being awesome Matt.

What Dr. Matt Taylor has done for science and mankind cannot be surpassed by what some are interpreting as misogynistic behaviour. He wore a shirt designed and gifted by one of his female friends. He honoured that friend by wearing her gift on what was most likely the biggest day of his life and career. He didn't deserve the bullying he got and everyone who agrees should stand up for him.

It's a sad day when people start a petty conflict for a few likes and their names in the paper. The good news is, your name will be in a lot more than just papers. I hope you feel strengthened by the overwhelmingly positive response you get from this, and that you continue doing (and wearing) what you love.
